IAN E. YOUNG

Ian is a member of both the litigation and employment groups at Fenton & Keller. Ian represents individuals, companies, and public entities in civil litigation matters including employment, business, insurance, construction, real estate, property damage, personal injury, and probate and estate cases. He tries cases in state and federal courts, and often achieves early settlement of disputes by effectively communicating with adversaries and utilizing alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation. Ian also represents employers and employees before courts and administrative agencies regarding wrongful termination allegations, wage and hour disputes, unemployment filings, and harassment claims. In addition, Ian drafts various agreements and counsels businesses as to personnel policies, employee handbooks, and day-to-day employment decisions. Ian drafts monthly articles for the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Journal and the Central Coast Human Resources Association, presents seminars on employment law issues, and provides sexual harassment prevention training.
