SHARILYN R. PAYNE

While working at Fenton & Keller as an assistant to Lewis Fenton, Sharilyn was inspired to attend law school and later returned to Fenton & Keller as a licensed attorney. She represents employers and employees before courts and administrative agencies in a wide range of employment matters include wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, and sexual harassment cases. She also provides labor and employment counseling to clients, reviews employer policies, prepares employee policy manuals, and provides anti-harassment training. Sharilyn earned her Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation of Spanish and English from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Sharilyn spent her childhood in Honduras and is fluent in Spanish. She is also proficient in French and Portuguese. Sharilyn writes on employment law issues. Her articles have appeared in local publications, including El Sol, one of Monterey County’s leading Hispanic newspapers.
