JACQUELINE P. McMANUS
Jackie represents employers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings in matters involving all aspects of employment law. Today, Jackie’s
practice concentrates on counseling employers in proactive strategies to
reduce the risk of liability under the complex scheme of state and federal
laws applicable in the workplace, and she has extensive experience drafting personnel
policies and other employment related documents, manuals for employers, essential components of any such strategy.
Jackie gives seminars on employment issues and often speaks to community
groups on employment-related topics. Although Jackie represents employers
of many kinds, she has particular expertise with employment issues facing
healthcare providers and non-profit organizations. Jackie is the author of
the Monterey County Herald’s weekly employment law column, “Workplace
Law,” and has authored numerous seminar materials on employment
related subjects.

Admitted to the California Bar in 1986; admitted to practice before the
U.S. District Court for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of
California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S.
Supreme Court; member, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of
California mediation panel.
